Overview:
In November, 2008, an Online Teaching and Learning Leadership Team was established in the Division of Education. In collaboration and consultation with each other, evaluation of our own practices, contributions from colleagues and adaptation of great work from colleges that have blazed the path before us, we have created this checklist as a beginning guide to creating your blended learning (hybrid) or asynchronous course. New understanding, experiences and features will inform updates to this checklist.
We offer guiding principles, a concrete checklist and as many user guides/how-to/samples as possible.
A printable version of every checklist is available at the bottom right of each web page (scroll all the way down).
Although the "printable version" centers all columns vertically, it still offers a powerful checklist for instructors as you design/prepare your courses.
An acronym key:
Online T & L = Online teaching and learning
Bb = BlackBoard
f2f = Face to face
DB = Discussion Board
